Beyond Black Belt in Japan — The Five Books of Mastery Talk
Full Video Dropping Monday Link In Calendar We recently travelled to Japan with Sifu Singh for his Beyond Black Belt experience — to study the Warrior’s Way at its source. In the land of the samurai, Sifu broke down mastery through the lens of Miyamoto Musashi’s Book of Five Rings. Not as a historical text, but as a living framework for training, leadership, and life. He explored the principles of mastery within the Five Books, and what each book represents in practice: - Earth — The way is in training. How you practice is how you live. - Fire — Illumination. Burning through illusion, fear, and hesitation. - Water — Adaptability in chaos. Becoming comfortable in discomfort. - Wind — Perception. Learning to feel what the eyes can’t see. - Void — Formlessness. Letting go of even what made you good. One truth kept surfacing throughout the talk: Chaos is never outside. Calm is not luck. Calm is trained. At this level, martial arts stops being about fighting and becomes a discipline of consciousness — learning to move, decide, and live without internal resistance. We’ll be sharing more content like this inside the community, including professionally produced talks, live sessions, and upcoming digital seminars. If this resonates with you, you’re in the right place. Apply For The Next Beyond Black Belt Experience Here: https://budobrothers.typeform.com/to/KICwgiDN
