Another good option is swing kicks, just swing your legs over a stool or a chair and use that for stability if necessary. I personally prefer high straight kicks, or "ball kicks"over the leg swinging method as well due to the ease of losing form that he goes over, it's important to keep control. Good tips you can pretty much do anywhere though!
