Newbie here
Thanks for the add. I’m 46 years old I am a paramedic been in the fire and EMS field for 27 years. I am also married with one child from past marriage. I started a journey last July of 25. I am currently 105 lbs down now starting to bulk up while losing weight. It’s a fine dance with calories.

strength training going pretty good. I use an app called bevel it tracks my workouts and food. Plus it generates workout routines for me to build muscle. Which I do adjust at times. Like next week I am on a de-load so giving my joints and muscles slight break for a week. Progressive overload is going great since I figured out it don’t mean just adding weight all the time. Just add more reps every so often when it starts to get easy. Plus working a 24/48 shift 24 on 48 off I have is split where first day off is upper body and 2nd day is lower and core.
Built a new homegym
I have long been thinking about having a new homegym setup. It's now done. I went with the Force USA G1 and the Freak Athlete ABX Weight Bench with all attachments. Overall this setup fits my needs. It provides cables that I have missed for many years. I also threw in a barbell. Yes I have "sinned" and done bench press. It felt great so that is something I will do once in a while. Maybe each 3 weeks, but with lighter weights for more reps. The ABX bench is expensive, but it's solid. Very solid and highly flexible. The dumbbells are Trulap 92 lbs version (42 kg). I am also quite happy for those. The G1 also comes with a pull up bar. Each day I use it for a 30 second hang. Just hanging there also called dead hang. It loosen spinal cord and gives other benefits you can look up yourself.
