✨ Today’s challenge…
In one sentence, write a book idea where an unexpected object becomes a child’s greatest friend. (Example: A lonely crayon teaches a noisy chalkboard to make music, helping two kids create the brightest art show ever.) 👇 Drop your one-sentence story idea!

a tooth brush teaches a youngster to slow down, take your time, pay attention to details, take care of yourself, do what’s best for you even when you don’t feel like it and over time it not only teaches him self discipline but his smile gives him lots of confidence!
The children’s book myth that keeps people stuck for years
Here’s a hard truth most people never hear: You don’t need a magical idea to write a successful children’s book. You need a structure that works again and again. I’ve published 70+ children’s books. Most of them did NOT start as “brilliant ideas.” They started as • a feeling a kid struggles with • a moment parents recognize • a simple problem with a clear emotional win Quick exercise Answer this in the comments: Which matters more for kids ages 4 to 8 A. A clever concept B. A relatable feeling C. Beautiful language D. A strong ending lesson There is a correct answer. I’ll explain why after a few replies come in.

95% marketing 5% growth I already have the next 4-5 books outlined. They’re coming to life in my head but I’m trying to break the habit of publishing a book and immediately moving on to the next idea. I want to take the business of it more seriously and market my current book more thoroughly.

@Zack Bush Thanks! The book is for kids 0-10 but also for the parent reading it to them. I want the parent to be entertained and the kids to giggle, smile & maybe even learn something a long the way. As the Funcle my books are more aimed towards just a fun good time read with some humor
🎄 A Christmas note (no pressure to reply)
Today isn’t a writing day for most people. It’s a remembering day. If you’re with family. If you’re missing someone. If today feels joyful, heavy, quiet, or complicated , all of that belongs here. Children’s books are often born from days like this. Not from productivity… but from noticing. So there’s nothing to do today. But if you want to leave a trace , just one word is enough: 👉 What’s one feeling today is bringing up for you? Joy. Gratitude. Longing. Peace. Tenderness. Love. Or feel free to just read this and keep going with your day. We’ll still be here tomorrow. 🎄💛
