Ecclesiastes 4:7-12 talks about how a cord of 3 strands isn't easily broken.. a verse used a lot in weddings.... questions like "Who am i struggling for?" and statements like "Two are better than one." Its so hard not to fit these things into a box 📦 labeled "Spouse" But that is not what Solomon is talking about. He mentions at the very beginning of the text "Without even a son or brother..." Relationships .. or in this text "companionship" is referencing family, friendships, and ultimately, community. The people that you can call on when life is dark and heavy. Times when you need someone to go to bat for you. Times when you need encouragement.. Where are you finding community? what are you doing to bring people into your life that are wanting God to be in the center of their life also?

Matthew 6:25-34 You are going to fear, have anxiety and worry.. they are emotions that God gave us. But are you letting those emotions manifest in your thoughts to then direct your actions. Jesus tells us to seek God first... Pray first, read scripture first, surrender it first... Let God be first on your mind on how to handle it and let your action follow "and all these things will be provided to you"

Matthew 7:1-6 There aren't many part of scripture that talk about dating but I believe this one is hits pretty close to home for most singles. If giving freely of your time, body or energy doesn't apply, the judgement part most likely does. Its probably the biggest roadblock in the dating pool today. Judgement of the way someone looks, where they are in life, what they have or don't have, how they dress, etc... the list could go on. In what ways have you judged others? What would you like to do differently so that you are able to get to know people at their core.. getting to know them as God made them?

Matthew 7:15-23 True or False Prophets 1) Wolves in sheeps clothing 2) Known by their fruit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control) 3) Teaching of God's FULL Truth. True or False Disciples 1) There is only ONE way to Heaven, it's though salvation. (Salvation prayer at the end) 2) Going to church, prophesy, deliverance, etc.. are works. Works alone does not save you. 3) "I never knew you" is talking about your heart. You never gave God your heart. You never invited Him into your life, into your heart.

Matthew 6:5-13 gives us direction on how to pray. Including the motive for prayer, where we are choosing to pray, and the structure of our prayer. Prayers are a time that is personal with God and shouldn't be used for display or attention. Pray what is on your heart.. needing to have wordy prayers is not what God is asking for. Structure of your prayer should include: 1) Worship and praise to God and who He is. 2) Surrender of your will. 3) Your need for the day 4) Repentance of sin and forgiveness of others 5) An awareness and action to take the narrow path He created to keep you from falling into temptation.
