@Tiffany Huebner set the expectation with the family - she’s a dog and always paying attention to OUR interactions I.e. when asked/tasked with doing something - we need to firstly be paying attention, secondly hear it the first time, and third do it the first time. If WE don’t expect respect amongst us - how is it fair to the dog to be expected to behave differently? Set clear expectations that we must ALL be consistent and follow the direction of us parents at all times - the first time - or we will find the dog a new home before I attach any further. (My hope for the dog is an ESA / hunting dog - both requiring discipline and respect more than a regular typical pet - she’s gonna have a job to do).
