Product Variations
Hey guys, I have a few totally newbie questions and probably overthinking this. Whats the best practice for creating variations? Multipacks? How are these affected when linked to FBT? I am correct to assume we can make a variation "parent" style and then add new variations to it later on? Each one having its own inventory SKU under FBT and also able to fulfill ourselves if no FBT stock? Account rep saying "i highly recommend adding multiple skus under a PID, we want as few PIDs as possible as only one PID can be tagged in content at a time so we want as much traffic driving to one page as possible." "i would just create new skus on an existing PID. id use the PID that has the smallest size as the "parent" PID and add the multipacks and larger sizes to that PID. make sure the remove all old / deactivated PIDs as well! you cant avoid putting larger sizes onto the PID. when an affiliate asks for a sample of the larger size just reject that application and then reach out on a Target Plan with the smaller size. there will be a product feature coming up where you can exclude certain variations from sampling" Should I follow her advice and create it under an old PID thats had few hundred unit sales? Or do everything brand new from scratch? Any benefit to new listings like honeymoon?

We have had the most success not creating variations and letting everything be its own product page even multipacks

@Oleg Dorfan correct you can always add but look at the top sellers like goli itโ€™s all individual listings and 100โ€™s of buffet bundles standing on their own. They use stacking coupons to get traffic it all the other listings
