The Happiness of Trusting the Lord Scripture:“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” — Psalm 34:8 (NKJV) Happiness often feels tied to what is happening around us, but Psalm 34 teaches that true blessedness comes from trusting the Lord. David wrote this psalm after God delivered him from a frightening situation, yet his focus was not on the problem—it was on God’s goodness. To “taste and see” means to experience God personally. The more we trust Him, the more we discover that He is faithful in every season. Trust doesn’t mean we have all the answers; it means we know the One who does. Today, whatever you’re facing, choose to place it in God’s hands. His goodness is greater than your fears, His peace is stronger than your worries, and His faithfulness never fails.
