These past 10 months have not been easy. There were more downs than ups. Since the day after Easter 2025, when my father, Burton Lowe, passed, my world has been turned inside out and upside down. I have been navigating grief one day at a time. #DCTROOTS has truly been a lifeline. To anyone reading this who is going through something right now — you are not alone. Take it one day at a time. This is a journey, not a race. You are exactly where you are supposed to be, working toward YOUR goals. Some days will be heavier than others… but progress, no matter how small, is still progress.
