Hey all, I'm a long time musician but still fairly new to mixing/producing. Here's a crack I took at a set of audio files I dowloaded a little while back. They were from a remix contest that I never ended up doing (Perfectionism rearing its head - "I Can't do this correctly!... I don't really know what I'm doing."). Honest feedback appreciated! Welp here goes. 😬 I feel like my low midrange is muddy and I need to clean it up still. I was cross referencing Train's Drops of Jupiter and they just have this clarity and punch in the bass and kick and it's like magic or something. So much clarity. Anyway, would love your feedback. Thank you! This course is so super helpful. Just one question: how do you treat samples, or loops? some times they are already premixed a little bit. How do you handle that? Thank you again

This is the first mix I finished and did a quick master. I learned a lot from Musician on a Mission and right when finishing my mix for that, I found this class. It was perfect timing. I definitely feel like my learning was solidified and enhanced! Thank you mastering.com and Musician on a Mission! (the song is Little Lighter by Ripe, which is a great band!!) My next goal is to apply everything to one of my own songs. And to keep learning and improving of course!
