I spent a night with the ghosts of Christmas past and had the opportunity to review my life successes and failures that got me here today. They dragged me through the highlight reel—and blooper reel—of my life, complete with director’s commentary. We revisited my greatest successes, my most spectacular failures, and those moments where I genuinely wondered, “Was that destiny… or was I just an idiot with confidence?” They reminded me of the years I lived at a garbage dump, the crackers-and-ketchup diet, the planes I flew, the businesses I built, the ones I lost, and all the people who disappeared faster than cookies at a holiday party the second my money ran out. There were triumphs I’d forgotten, disasters I’d tried to forget, and a few scenes where even the ghosts paused like, “Yeah… that one was rough.” But somewhere between the laughter, the sarcasm, and the painfully honest replay of choices both brilliant and questionable, I realized something: every twist, every tragedy, every victory, and every “well-that-escalated-quickly” moment is exactly what forged who I am now. Turns out, the Ghosts weren’t there to shame me—they were there to remind me that despite everything, I’m still standing, still fighting, and still becoming someone worth the sequel. The underlying reason for hope is that I am now a Skool community owner and paying it forward. (Trying anyway) Mark
