Insurance Cost
Hey Everyone, How much do you pay for insurance (garage/ GL)? Add your state and insurer too if you like.

I recently called Geico about the commercial auto insurance and found out they can also set you up with the business insurance through another Berkshire subsidiary. I am paying around $125/mo for general liability/garage liability/garagekeepers/auto services off-site tools and equipment coverages. I have a clean driving record and have a 2015 Honda Odyssey and they are hitting me for around $265/mo just for the commercial auto, which I think is terribly high. I had trouble finding someone for the mobile business insurance though so I take the good with the high auto.

Business accounting
Hi everyone. I am in the process of getting my business up and running and the one area that I have been struggling with is the business accounting. I don't know if Quickbooks is the way to go or another software package. There is so much to have in place and it is a little overwhelming. I am hoping to do it myself without having to pay a high price accountant, but will do what I have to. Any help is appreciated.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday today. How do you guys mark up your parts? I’m looking at a chart on google but I wanted to know if guys do it or just raise your labor rate ? Thanks

"What you take out to pay yourself and to cover your expenses is not profit, it is an expense for your business. What is left over after paying all your expenses is profit" is very important for us to remember. It really helps me keep things in perspective. Thank you for that!
