@John Smith Hey John and welcome to the community. Once you can see all the lessons, you'll see that is addressed a bunch! You'll see it come up in the mix streams posted within the community boards here as well. Hope you find it all helpful! From what I saw you saying on YT about getting them to sit in the mix, I'm guessing channel strips are going to make a world of difference for you. They sure did for me!

Voices Are Overrated
Hey guys, I'm doing a thing I haven't done in a loonnnnggg time and releasing a full album. I've been doing singles for so long and just recently had a perspective shift in my own listening habits away from playlists and back to the joy of hearing a band's story from start to finish. I even went out and got a freaking record player again. I never thought I'd do that, but I miss the whole experience. So, that said, I decided to do my own music in the same format and I'm dropping an instrumental album later this year. The title track was actually the last one I finished and I'm sharing it with ya'll here, well in advance of the actual release date. =] Oh and I did an experimental thing with this and didn't repeat a single sectoon of the song!

@Nic Svensson Because of my YouTube channel, I find I get more juice from guitar instrumental music. Puts me in a weird space, but ultimately I write both and so it’s nice to get it out there.

Hey John, you're going to see as you get into the lessons many of the answers for this. Before you get there though, can you share with me what you are generally using? Software plugins, mic on an amp, etc? What's your go to for the different types of sounds you're reaching for?

I used the earlier version of this and found it was really useful in some specific situations where I couldn’t get what I needed out of similar products. Especially with some difficult vocal chains.
