Hi guys. My first video submission here as I am as well a member of the JGA program from Marc. I took the opportunity and time to re-learn the Autumns Leaves Chords Melody arrangement of Marc. So this time I feel much more comfortable (would be bad if not….) than some months ago. Still room for improvement 😂 Let me know your thoughts……. https://youtu.be/zvWDWryhmNE?si=WqOOhl9KfWdRc0yD

Once again thank you to those who posted ''blue bossa'' and it's never too late to post one of our challenges... the deadline is just to push us a little.

@Jessie Fontane I can and do relate to that Jessie. I already feel as though I am on better trajectory to understand how to approach the changes. Lots of work to Do to create new muscle memory but I believe it is coming.
I am Carlos from Venezuela but living in Florida-USA now. I've been practicing my guitar for almost a year and I want to improve my skills through the study of jazz
Here is my quick take "challenge" on Blue Bossa. I had learned this tune before but, frankly, was a bit iffy on the chord changes and keys, etc. So, my challenge here was to solidify the harmony in my mind. I also wanted to practice the kind of soloing that leaves space between phrases and does not sound too busy. Feedback welcome. And, of course, apologies for the ocassional hiccups.
It's not perfect but this is a picture if where i'm at today. I'm really happy i'm starting to get the comping for myself thing. Still lots of work to do but i'm getting the idea. https://youtu.be/oMOy2FvnOyg?si=41KUltj_CZlQ-1a0
That was quite challenging, almost felt like that l've returned to 15 years old first time player. Felt shame to myself that underestimating theories and just learned to play 'cool sounding' songs, without proper thinking.
80% handling arpegio on Misty. I followed the chords I chose before. The greatest aspect is that they are quite easy to memorize. They follow the chords positions. I found the notes for each of them by only listening, instead of counting and calculating. Next will be to add the middle notes for each of them to get the scales.
