@David East1. I mainly work with manufacturing and Construction. I have done some work with project management and a tiny bit in defence (supplier not direct) oh and I have done a bit with mining in WA (very governed risk control) 2: The manufacturers i worked for/with were heavily influenced by a system called TPS (Toyota production system, a spin off is called LEAN). Inside this system it manages safety in a more traditional sense, with standard applications. Where as in Construction it’s usually dictated by tier 1 contractors, and they usually adhere to FSC, and in addition ISO 45001. As for the defence supplier, they needed to adhere to aviation guidelines on top of other stuff (drones Thats all I can say about that NDA) As for safety differently I see it bouncing around but I’m not directly involved, I'm in ISO so there’s always new ways to do things, but I always look for actual practical applications not just theories and book work. Remembering that I don’t lecture in a uni, I'm where the fingers get cut off lol.
