Hello there from South Mississippi from the Landry's!! Troy and Marissa here, been together 14 but married going on 8 years! We have 2 beautiful boys 8 and 12 and a brand new 2 month old baby girl! We have been super blessed but things have not always been so great but one thing that is for sure is that we love each other and are devoted to each other!!! Troy and I were addicts when we met and were in active addiction until I got sober 3 years ago and Troy a year ago! Things were toxic for a long time because of our addictions. We have been through all of it besides adultery and we thank God for that! Though we are Happy that we are sober, life is not necessarily much easier sober...feeling emotions and feelings for the first time ever in our adulthood brings about often explosive conflicts that we later look back at with such remorse and lack of logic as to why we let things escalate out of control like we do. We both have the desire to be heard, understood, and validated though we argue every time someone expresses their feelings . We need help and prayers with communication, conflict resolution, expectations, controlling our emotions, and gratitude for one another and what we give to our family and one another. I pray that this community will help bring healing into our lives romantically and spiritually. Glad to be here, pray that my husband will eventually join the community as well!
