Discipline vs Inspiration Have you ever been through seasons when it’s tough to read the Bible and stay consistent? Mornings when you are just not FEELING IT! There is no inspiration or creativity, sometimes not even the will to do your devotional. This is why establishing disciplines are important. You brush your teeth and shower everyday. You don’t stop to think if you feel like brushing your teeth or if you are inspired to do it. YOU JUST DO IT! that’s why I start establishing the discipline of waking up and reading the Bible very early on with my kids. Just like brushing the teeth. At home out day does not start until we read our bibles. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? Because we are not always going to feel inspired, creative or even motivated to do it, but in those moments discipline kicks in and you do it anyways because that’s jus part of what you do. If you are struggling to stay consistent, set a time and date and even a place where your devotional will take place, than put it on your calendar, schedule and set your alarms. This is now part of your day and it has to happen! It’s great to be inspired and my prayer is that you will always have to hunger for the word of God, but realistically, without discipline we succumb to feelings, circumstances and even moods. Your Bible time is your time with the Father. Put it on your calendar and make him a priority ! , Let me know if this was helpful to you

I have been stuck.in this "season" for 2nd month now...I read when I make myself and do understand- but it doesn't go deeep. I believe its not about setting disabling but about starting outside of reading bible- when you see God in everything, u see it in the bible but when you see bills and other materialistic things, u see those in the bible too. [Paul Tripp his thing on parenting part 1 explains this]

Well I used to dabble u to alot multi language and multi art types... but now scripture Meditation while Bible journaling.. scared ill mess up- got rid of alot of bible this way and have a few more packed up....trying to not give away the last one I got- but idk how to bible journal in it [I ha e sway alot of supplies and have almost nothing now too]
