Me & Kora 🪶
Kora is my 10 year old mare, and she has taught me more than any other horse I started working with her back in November 2023 and throughout 2024, before I owned a horse (i was leasing a cremello mare) my trainer offered me the opportunity to work with and train Kora, with the plan of eventually selling her so I could use part of the money toward buying my own horse. At the time, she was still very green. She knew how to carry a rider, but she had never really been taught to enjoy work or trust people (bad previous experience with rough and impatient riders which was basically fighting fire with fire-> made her kind of just block and uncooperative and also unpredictable) which caused her to react defensively and even bronc riders off when overwhelmed without giving much signs. The first few months with her were challenging. I spent a lot of time doing groundwork, (3 months on the ground) building trust, and helping her become more confident, not run when trying to catch her in the field and accepting under saddle cues without her getting pissed off. Before her, I had barely fallen off a horse, but Kora definitely changed that. Even through the difficult moments, I became very attached to her and realized she simply needed patience, confidence, and understanding rather than constant pressure. Over the past two years, Kora has made incredible progress. She rarely bucks anymore, has become extremely fun to ride, (even my trainer has taken a couple of rides on her and really she said it’s insane how much she has changed) and she continues improving every time I take her somewhere new. I eventually bought her in late 2024 because I could not imagine letting her go after everything we had been through together. She has taught me so much about riding, training, and patience, and I am excited to continue workinhg and competing with her this year. Also she became so much in shape she went from a ball to muscledddd!! https://youtube.com/shorts/Sl-IsA4COvU?si=gf1ReV9x53ahe6Vu

@Zoë Coade Well right now i just turned 17 and needing to plan for the future and also i am going to vet so big plan isnt making it BIG BIG atleast for now as my priorities are really just having a nice all around good minded and working horse and school 😂
Hey guys!
Something very interesting we got 2 horse’s sent for training (for a month, hopefully 2 and more), im not the one in the video but I am the camera man and editor lol also I work with both off camera Sparky -3year old Frenchman (barrel bred) Appendix Pumpkin -5year old LL (lazy lou) Aqha We we’re told they recently got Sparky and he had pretty much NOTHING done, (barely to not even Halter broke) For pumpkin we we’re told she’s had SOME things tried but really we we’re to be careful and not take their word for it so we wouldn’t get hurt <-🤨 anyways as it goes we were told Sparky would probably be harder but he is a blank canvas and he is learning fast, pumpkin we found a couple of things and can assume she’s had certain bad experiences possibly with certain things that triggers certain reactions anyways here’s the 2 videos ive put up -will post nearly everyday for a month or 2 Video 1 https://youtu.be/G8CC1SoLBfI?si=ruRDxGqtdQv6Lug1 Video 2 https://youtu.be/LQ-cIiJeRCM?si=uNewKMwvSnevvKN_

…he will be 16 years old next month 🥰 Where does the time go 🫣 I knew from the moment I saw him we were meant to be together and do great things. He is my king and I will forever bow in his presence 👑 Pic is a screenshot from some reels we filmed today in the jolly nice rain 🌧️ 🤣 Although we spoke about in previous posts - let’s refresh: ❓How old are your horses and how did they find you?

I might actually post a horsey introduction since I have a lot to say and would like to share some videos/Photos 🤣
🫶 How to Introduce yourself to the GGWH community.
You can share as much or as little as feels right. Some optional prompts you can copy/paste: 🐴 Your name & where you’re based 🐴 Your horse(s) - or the horses you work with 🐴 Where you’d place yourself overall with horses right now: Begun → Getting Good → Good Enough 🐴 What drew you here / what you’d love support with 🐴 One thing you’re currently working on with horses Photos and videos are very welcome - faces and horses help us connect There’s no pressure to be polished, impressive, or “have it all figured out.” This is a learning space. Curiosity beats perfection here. Let's get good together with the right support. Zoë🐴✨🫶

Tomorrow I’ll try to film an introduction, might also just make a post but I find it more entertaining watching a video!
