Titanium Pots
I recently purchased Taima Titanium pots, cutting board and water bottle. Advertised as non toxic cookware, completely safe, etc and then I read elsewhere titanium can cause brain cell damage. Which one is true?

These pots claim to be free of any coating, but you’re saying if scratches happen it will leech? Why do they use titanium in the body then?

With cold and flu season ramping up and Thanksgiving just a few weeks out, I wanted to share what the research actually shows about sodium, potassium, magnesium, and immune health: - Potassium: Acts as a natural anti-inflammatory agent in your body, helping to dial down unnecessary immune activity while protecting against infections. The epidemiological data indicate that a low potassium status is associated with a higher frequency of infections. Not necessarily causation, but the research suggests there's something real happening here. - Magnesium: About half of US adults don't get enough magnesium. Deficiency shrinks your thymus gland (where T cells mature), weakens those T cells' ability to fight threats, and promotes chronic inflammation — actively impairing immune response. Not exactly what you want heading into the season of stressed-out travel and questionable hand hygiene at family gatherings. - Sodium: Effects vary by condition, but for typical colds and flu, it matters most once you're sick — you're losing it rapidly through fever and sweat. I've seen it countless times: people get sick, stop eating, aren't thinking about electrolytes, and recovery drags out. We need about 4–6 g of sodium, 3.5–5 g of potassium, and 400–600 mg of magnesium daily to support your immune system this holiday season and beyond.

Better Sleep Habits for Everyone: Avoid sugary foods and caffeine at least 2 to 3 hours before bedtime. Sugar spikes energy levels, while caffeine blocks melatonin and delays sleep onset. Turn off screens about 1 hour before bed (or earlier if possible). Blue light delays melatonin production and keeps the brain alert longer. Keep electronics out of the bedroom whenever possible — TVs, tablets, and phones can interfere with sleep quality for all ages. Start your bedtime routine about 45 to 60 minutes before sleep. Repeating calming steps each night — like a bath or shower, dim lights, quiet reading, or gentle stretching — helps your body slow down and recognize it’s time to rest. Limit fluids about 30 to 45 minutes before bed. This helps prevent waking up during the night to use the bathroom. Keep the room cool, dark, and quiet. The ideal temperature is around 68 to 72°F (20 to 22°C). End the day with connection and calm, ideally during the last 10 to 15 minutes before sleep. A few minutes of gratitude, gentle conversation, prayer, or mindfulness help lower stress and prepare the body and mind for deep, peaceful rest. My husband snores. Sometimes it’s really loud and seems to last a long time. He also keeps his cell phone on the nightstand. I’ve tried everything I know to get sleep. I use an eye mask to cover my eyes so I don’t get blinded by his phone. I use earplugs and I can still hear him from time to time. I’ve taken excedrin pm…half dose…and usually that works but I don’t like taking OTC that might harm my body. Short of leaving the bedroom permanently, I slept on the sofa last night due to his heavy snoring, I have not come up with a solution to what is HIS problem! Any magic? I feel like I’ve tried it ALL.
