A win today!
Every six weeks I attend a jaw specialist who keeps recording my jaw opening. He manipulates my jaw muscles to keep them loose so I can eat, drink and swallow. In between appointments my amazing carer team open my jaw manually which really helps me. Today I was 21 mm open, the normal opening is 45 mm. I still have a long way to go to eat a hamburger but getting there. Today I improved so very happy. Remember not to take things for granted, how wide can you open your mouth?

That’s incredible progress! You’re such an inspiration — thank you for reminding us to be grateful for the little things 🌻
Mini Challenge #1: The 3-Minute Reset Walk
Sometimes the quickest way to reset your mind is to move your body... even if it’s just for a few minutes. You don’t need a full workout, fancy gear, or a block of free time. Just a short, intentional burst of movement can help clear mental fog, release tension, and give your nervous system a much-needed “calm down” signal. That’s exactly what today’s mini challenge is about. Goal: Use walking as both a physical and mental reset. 1. Step away from your desk, phone, or current environment. 2. Walk for 3 minutes (inside or outside). 3. Match your steps with steady breathing: inhale for 4 steps, exhale for 4 steps. Mindset focus: Notice what shifts in your body and mood by the end.

Yes! And I felt very good. My family bought me a walking pad and I woke up and walked for 10 minutes and said thank you with great intention. I want to start this new routine and start my day differently. Thank you for inspiring me 😊
Micro-Moments of Joy: The Overlooked Secret to Resilience
You know what I’ve noticed? When life gets busy or stressful, joy is often the first thing we stop paying attention to. We focus on what needs fixing, solving, or surviving... and forget about the tiny things that actually keep us going. That’s where micro-moments of joy come in! I’m not talking about big, life-changing events. I mean the small, ordinary sparks that brighten a day, like the smell of fresh coffee, your favourite song coming on, a good belly laugh, or even just stepping outside into the sunshine for a bit to break up the day. These moments might seem small, but they do big things for our resilience. They help reset our nervous system, refill our energy tank, and remind us that even in tough times, there’s still light to be found. For me, it might be enjoying a warm cuppa tea or hearing a cheeky story from a friend. Tiny, simple moments, but they shift everything. What’s one small thing that’s brought you joy this week? Let’s start a thread of joy — because the little sparks often have the biggest impact.

For me, joy often shows up in the simplest ways — like watching my kids, catching a beautiful sunrise, and enjoying my morning coffee. Those little moments always give me a sense of calm and gratitude. 🌅☕💛
Motivation Monday: Progress Beats Perfection
Happy Monday, everyone! Here’s your reminder for the week: you don’t need to get it perfect, you just need to get it moving. Resilience isn’t about flawless action; it’s about showing up, trying again, and building strength one step at a time. Taking part in FightMND's Challenge 27 this month has played a big part in keeping me accountable. Knowing I’ve got to show up every day keeps me focused and moving forward. These commitments can be tough, but it's also such a good reminder that progress is built step by step. I’ve been sharing updates over on my Instagram page too, so if you’d like to follow along, you can check it out at @leannesklavenitis What’s ONE small action you’re committing to this week that will move you forward? Drop it in the comments below, let’s kick off the week with some accountability and momentum! Leanne x

I’ve been keeping a routine of exercising, writing three gratitude entries, and setting my daily intention each day. 🥰
