Giving New Things a Go!
Giving new things a go is a humbling experience. It reminds us that we don’t have to have all the answers, that it’s okay to feel unsure, awkward, or even a little afraid. Trying something new asks us to soften our pride, to be a beginner again, and to accept that growth often comes with mistakes. In that humility, we learn patience with ourselves, gratitude for small wins, and respect for the journey. It teaches us that progress isn’t about perfection, but about showing up with an open heart and a willingness to learn.

I’m new to property, and I’m allowing myself to be exactly where I am—at the beginning. I don’t know everything yet, but I’m curious, committed, and willing to learn. Each concept I understand and each step I take builds my confidence a little more. I’m learning to trust the process, ask questions, and grow through experience. Being new doesn’t mean being behind; it means I’m laying strong foundations, open to guidance, and excited about what’s possible as I move forward in this journey.

I’m new to online investing, and I’m giving myself permission to learn without pressure. Every platform, term, and decision is part of my education, not a test of my worth. I’m taking my time to understand how things work, building confidence step by step, and making thoughtful choices as I go. Starting fresh feels empowering—I’m developing new skills, expanding my financial awareness, and opening myself up to opportunities I once only observed from the sidelines.

🧺💎🌟Where Laughter Learned to Live🎨🕰️🎊 A happy childhood sounds like laughsThat tumble through the day,Bare feet racing down the road,While worries drift away. It smells like rain and sunshine mixed,And food made just with love,Like stories told at bedtimeAnd stars watched up above. It feels like safety wrapped in arms,And time that moves real slow,Where scraped knees heal with kissesAnd every day helps hearts to grow. A happy childhood lives on still,In smiles we freely give,For all the love we learned back thenIs how we learn to live.

I’ve always had a deep love for journaling, a practice that feels both grounding and freeing. From the earliest days I can remember, putting pen to paper has been my way of capturing the swirl of thoughts, emotions, and ideas that often rush through my mind. Each journal becomes a private sanctuary—a place where I can speak honestly to myself without fear of judgment, a space to reflect on my experiences, to celebrate small victories, or to make sense of challenges. Over time, these pages have become more than mere records of my days; they are mirrors of my growth, silent witnesses to my dreams, fears, and aspirations. Journaling allows me to pause in the busyness of life, to slow down and truly connect with my inner world. It’s both a creative outlet and a therapeutic companion, helping me uncover patterns, release emotions, and spark new insights. There’s a certain magic in watching scattered thoughts transform into coherent words, in feeling my ideas and memories take shape, and in knowing that years from now, these pages will hold pieces of who I am—my journey, my lessons, and my evolving story. In every scribble, every sketch, and every line, journaling is a way of honouring myself, my experiences, and the quiet, unfolding journey of life.

Traditional Māori medicine, known as Rongoā, encompasses a range of healing practices that include herbal remedies, physical therapies, and spiritual healing. Kawakawa (Piper excelsum) is a native New Zealand plant prized by Māori for its healing properties. Its leaves are rich in compounds that are anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and soothing, making it great for skin irritations, digestive issues, and general wellness. Here’s a common and safe Kawakawa remedy you can make at home: Kawakawa Leaf Healing Tea (for digestion & general wellness) Ingredients: - 5–10 fresh or dried Kawakawa leaves - 2 cups of water - Honey (optional, for taste) Instructions: 1. Rinse the leaves gently under cool water. 2. Crush or tear the leaves slightly to release their oils. 3. Boil 2 cups of water and remove from heat. 4. Add the Kawakawa leaves to the hot water. 5. Cover and steep for 5–10 minutes. 6. Strain into a cup. Add honey if desired. 7. Drink 1–2 cups a day for digestive support or general wellness. Tip: This tea can also be cooled and used as a gentle mouth rinse or to soothe minor throat irritation. Kawakawa Leaf Poultice (for skin irritations & minor wounds) Ingredients: - Fresh Kawakawa leaves - Small mortar & pestle (or a bowl & spoon) Instructions: 1. Wash the leaves thoroughly. 2. Crush the leaves into a soft, moist pulp. 3. Apply directly to cuts, insect bites, or mild skin irritations. 4. Cover with a clean cloth for 15–30 minutes. 5. Repeat 1–2 times a day as needed. Benefits: The leaves help reduce inflammation, promote healing, and soothe skin discomfort. ⚠️ Safety Note: Kawakawa is generally safe, but excessive internal use may cause nausea. Avoid during pregnancy unless guided by a qualified herbalist or health professional.
