🐕 Ever heard of Kukur Tihar?
It’s one of the most heartwarming days from the Hindu festival of Tihar, celebrated in Nepal — where dogs are honored for their loyalty, love, and role as protectors. On this day, dogs (yes, ALL dogs — pets, strays, working dogs) are: ✨ Given flower garlands ✨ Marked with a ceremonial tika ✨ Fed delicious meals ✨ Celebrated like the legends they are Honestly… it’s incredible. But it also got me thinking... We dedicate ONE day to celebrating the unconditional love, loyalty, and protection dogs give us 365 days a year? Feels a little… underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong — I’m glad they do it. It’s beautiful. It’s meaningful. And it says a lot about the culture. But maybe the real takeaway isn’t just to celebrate dogs... It’s to treat them with that same level of respect, care, and appreciation every single day. Because if you’ve ever had a dog...you know: They don’t give you their love one day a year. They give it to you EVERY day. 👇 Let’s talk about it: If dogs had a vote... what would they choose? 🐶 A single day of celebration ❤️ Or daily love, care, and appreciation What do you say @Shannon Koss @Maren Bruun Drop your vote below ⬇️
