My wife’s dad professes his love to his wife of 66 years!
He Loves his new found Fame! He’s quite the singer on his own, but this brings a smile to his face! Would you show him some love! Watch and make my Father-in-law Very Happy. His family back in the Philippines would love this! https://youtube.com/shorts/r-ZJC0nK0zw?is=HhY8DZBECov5Dm8g

66 years and he still wants to sing to her - that's the whole thing right there. Sent some love his way. Tell him the internet says he's got a good voice.

From Lines to Intelligence In the first article of this series, I introduced Sunrise 2027 as one of those quiet technological revolutions that most people will not notice until it has become part of everyday life. This time, let us look beneath the surface and explore what is actually changing. For more than fifty years, we have become accustomed to seeing the familiar black lines printed on almost every product we purchase. We scan them at self-checkouts, watch cashiers pass them over laser scanners, and rarely give them a second thought. Yet those little lines are surprisingly limited. The barcode we have known for decades is called a one-dimensional, or 1D, barcode. The name is not particularly exciting, but it accurately describes how it works. All of the information is stored in a single direction, across the width of the code. Think of it as a street address. The address tells you where to find the house, but it tells you nothing about the people who live there, what the house looks like, or what is happening inside. To learn those things, you have to go somewhere else. Traditional barcodes work in much the same way. When a cashier scans a carton of milk, the barcode is not saying, "I am two litres of whole milk with an expiration date of Friday." Instead, it is saying something much simpler. "I am product number 123456789." The store's computer then searches its database for product number 123456789 and discovers everything else; the description, the current price, the tax category, the supplier, and any other detail required to complete the sale. The barcode itself is little more than a reference number. That approach has worked remarkably well for decades, but it has its limitations. Now imagine replacing that simple street address with an entire information package. That is the promise of the new two-dimensional, or 2D, barcode. Instead of storing information in only one direction, a 2D code stores information both horizontally and vertically. Those familiar square QR codes are one example, although Sunrise 2027 uses a standardized version developed by GS1 specifically for commercial applications.

The address vs contents framing is the clearest explanation of this I've read. The part that I think gets underrated: once the code carries expiry and batch data instead of just an ID, the lookup stops depending on whoever owns the database. That's the real shift - it moves product truth out of a private system and onto the package itself. Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you so much, @Cynthia Shiller for inviting me to share this with your community. Over the past month, we've been building something a little different called Skoolology. It's a research-driven community where community builders study what actually works. We run experiments, share what we're learning, look for patterns, and help each other design communities people don't want to leave. If you're building a Skool community, or even thinking about starting one, I'd love to have you join us. No hype. Just curious builders learning together. Here's the link: Skoolology And Cynthia, thank you again for creating a space where entrepreneurs can genuinely connect. I'm grateful for the invitation.

The research angle is the part I think most community builders skip. Everyone copies the surface stuff - the welcome post, the leaderboard, the daily thread - without checking whether any of it actually moved retention in the community they copied it from. The one pattern I'd throw in: the communities people stay in tend to have a reason to open the app on a normal Tuesday, not just a great onboarding week. Curious what your experiments are showing on that.

Welcome Lara! Audiobooks plus KDP is a strong lane right now - the part most people underrate is that a rough listen-through catches clunky sentences your eyes skim right past, so the audio pass quietly makes the print version better too. Joke as requested: I told my publisher the book would be done Friday. She asked which year. If the production side is ever useful, I keep a free AI playbook in my profile.
