Has anyone with a non-resident LLC been told to register for state corporate income taxes? I heard (to my surprise) that even if you don't have ECI for federal purposes, states can consider you to have nexus based on sales if you meet the threshold, and even if you don't have a taxable base with the IRS, the states can come up with one...
