Hi..This is Maninder Singh a Visual Effects compositor from India working at DNEG. previously i was working at MPC. I started my career around 2007. started as a cg artist...it has always been my passion to create photorealistic images. I have a thing for macro lens detail rendering. usually i take some real photographic reference and try to recreate it in 3d. I've started using blender cycles few months ago but I always ended up frustrated with cycles inability to render high quality micro displacement. Recently I found my solace in Octane thanks to you @Patrick Levar and your YouTube channel. I like to thank you from bottom of my heart for your great contribution to the Octane learning community. I regularly watch your Octane videos. Here I am sharing some pictures of my latest setup which I specifically made for 3D rendering. (Ryzen 9 9950x, Nvidia RTX 5090, 64 GB RAM )
Thanks a Lot @Patrick Levar . Well actually silver one is my older MAC PRO workstation which i used earlier for compositing, editing & sound but it is not that good for CG coz of mac not supporting NVIDIA nd stuff. it has been honorary discharge from duty few months back😁....Now i am using only RTX PC. PBR & heavy geo rendering works so smooth on RTX 5090.
If you had to pick one thing you want to get better at in Blender Octane right now, what would it be? Comment with your answer: - Lighting - Materials - Render setup - Post effects - Scene building
