Family, we will resume Saturday, July 11th @ 11 AM as we continue our journey through Romans. In the meantime, this is a wonderful opportunity to read, meditate, and reflect so your heart is prepared for where God is taking us next. If you’ve missed a week or simply want to revisit what we’ve covered, here’s a quick recap to help you stay connected and caught up. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ WEEK 1 - Romans 1:1–12 Identity & Community Paul opens Romans by grounding us in identity: servant, called, set apart. The gospel is God’s action, not human advice. Key Verse: Romans 1:1 Anchor Truth: The gospel gives us a new identity and places us in a new family. Keller pp. 13–20 WEEK 2 - Romans 1:13–17 The Power of the Gospel Paul is eager to preach because the gospel is God’s power for salvation. Righteousness is revealed by faith, from beginning to end. Key Verse: Romans 1:16 Anchor Truth: The gospel doesn’t make bad people good; it makes dead people alive. Keller pp. 20–27 WEEK 3 - Romans 2:1–11 God’s Impartial Judgment Paul confronts the moral person who judges others but ignores their own heart. God’s kindness leads us to repentance, not complacency. Key Verse: Romans 2:4 Anchor Truth: God sees the heart, not the performance. Keller pp. 38–46 WEEK 4 - Romans 2:12–29 God Looks at the Heart Paul now turns to the religious person — the one who relies on spiritual identity, tradition, or knowledge. Outward religion cannot replace inward transformation. Key Verse: Romans 2:29 Anchor Truth: True belonging to God is inward, spiritual, and transformative. Keller pp. 46–53 WEEK 4 — QUICK BREAKDOWN Romans 2:12-16 - God Judges Fairly •Having the Law doesn’t save you. •Not having the Law doesn’t excuse you. •Conscience reveals God’s imprint. •God sees motives and the inner life. (Keller pp. 46–48) Romans 2:17-20 - Confidence in the Law •Knowing truth, living truth. •Spiritual privilege can blind us. (Keller pp. 48–49)
