RQ: How do you deal with distractions while studying?
I've been getting really distracted lately. Any tips? 🤔

I usually keep my devices away in a separate room from where I wanna do my work at. This helps in the distractions from starting in the first place. The biggest distraction for me was Youtube so I use this extension called Youtube Unhooked so it basically blocks everything on my youtube page and I can only watch videos that I search up. If I still somehow manage to get distracted after that...I do a quick 10 sec countdown to stop doing what I'm doing. If I do see myself getting distracted constantly during work, I just increase the amount of breaks I have during a work session and decrease the time of each work block. So for example if I want to study for an hour but, if I can only focus for 20 mins at a time I will break up the 1 hour into three 20 min blocks with a 5 min break in between. Hope this helps!
