6/8 & Triplet groove examples (Rhythm Hangout follow up)
Following up from a conversation with @Cassie Larson on Friday... Here's Swan Song by Can - https://youtu.be/3VmM8qRRLwU?si=D0d3amMCy013ji2G - an example of a 6/8 groove (a pretty loose one though) that you can practice counting (1,2,3,4,5,6) to. An example of a triplet groove in 4/4 that came to mind is 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' by Elvis Presley - https://youtu.be/vGJTaP6anOU?si=2d_OalSqAn-CBmjd - this one you can count triplets in 4 (1+a 2+a 3+a 4+a). If anyone in here has some other examples post them in the comments below!

I have just found a playlist on YouTube with music in 6/8 time: Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway (Official Video) - YouTube
When you prioritise rhythmic development, you're building the foundation that makes everything else possible.
This coming Monday at 3:30pm UK time, we're having our first live Rhythm Workout. It's a chance to experience the systematic approach that's going to strengthen your musical foundation over the coming weeks and months. Who's planning to join us live? Drop a comment below and let us know what you're most looking forward to exploring in your rhythm development.
