🍽️ New Collection Added: The Kai Collection
I'm excited to share the first collection inside the Printable Library. It includes seven printable resources inspired by everyday kai routines that support independence, wellbeing and meaningful conversations. 👇 Which one do you think your children would enjoy most? 🧼 Here's the First New Printable Added! One of the richest learning opportunities in early childhood happens during the routines we repeat every day. Hand washing isn't just about keeping hands clean. It's about independence. Responsibility. Healthy habits. Language. Confidence. I've just added a new printable to the 🍽️ Kai Collection inside the Printable Library. I hope it helps turn one small everyday routine into another opportunity for meaningful learning. 👇 I'd love to hear from you. How do you encourage independence during handwashing in your setting or at home? 📍 You'll find the printable inside: Classroom → Printable Library → Everyday Routines → Kai Collection

💬 Weekly Reflection #001
What is this child showing me? One of the biggest shifts in my teaching happened when I stopped asking: "What should I teach next?" and started asking: "What is this child showing me?" Sometimes the answer isn't obvious. It might be perseverance as they rebuild a tower for the fifth time. It might be creativity as a paper bag becomes something completely unexpected. It might be confidence growing because another child simply joined their play. When we slow down enough to notice, we begin to see learning that was already there. That's the heart of Inspired By Children. 🌱 I'd love to hear from you... What's one moment this week where a child showed you something you weren't expecting? It could be something small. Sometimes the smallest moments become the biggest learning stories.

🌱 What Are the Children Wondering This Week?
One of my favourite things about teaching is that no two days are ever the same. Every week, children ask questions that stop us in our tracks. Some make us smile. Some make us think. Some become the beginning of an incredible learning journey. I'd love this community to become a place where we collect those moments together. 💭 So... What are the children in your classroom wondering about this week? It could be something as simple as: 🌈 "Where does the rainbow go?" 🐛 "Why do worms come out when it rains?" 🌙 "Can the moon follow us?" 🌱 "How does a seed know how to grow?" Share the child's question exactly as they said it. No explanations needed. Just their curiosity. Who knows... It might become the inspiration for someone else's classroom tomorrow. 💛 👇 What's one "I wonder..." you've heard this week?

Kia ora and welcome 🌱
I🌱 Kia ora and welcome! Inspired By Children is built around one simple belief: Every resource begins with a child's "I wonder..." This is a space for educators who want to transform children's curiosity into meaningful visual learning experiences. I'd love to get to know you! 🌿 Share a photo of yourself (if you'd like to) 🌿 Tell us where you are from. 🌿 What age group do you work with? 🌿 What's one "I wonder..." you've heard from a child recently? I'm so glad you're here and can't wait to learn alongside you. Mae 💛

🌿 Kia ora everyone! I thought I'd introduce myself first. I'm Mae from Aotearoa, New Zealand. 🇳🇿 I'm currently working as an early childhood relieving teacher, and I also bring experience from the primary classroom. Working across different settings has allowed me to see so many wonderful ways educators support children's learning—and it has inspired me to keep creating. One thing I've noticed is that the most meaningful learning often begins with a child's simple "I wonder..." Those moments can become investigations, conversations, learning stories and beautiful visual experiences. That's why I created Inspired By Children. I hope that this becomes a warm, supportive community where educators can share ideas, celebrate children's curiosity, and inspire one another. I'm so glad you're here, and I can't wait to get to know you all. 💛
