I just finished the video and there are lots of ideas I have for changes in the classroom in terms of a schedule. Simplifying mine is my first step. I plan on making the schedule only have a picture of the children doing that activity, with one or two words next to it. This week I am excited to try using a song to signal at circle time that it is time to discuss our schedule. I also will be more proactive in going over the schedule EVERY morning as I often fall through on that!

I love the idea of visual schedules as children need and want to know what is coming next. In my classroom we have a written schedule that we just started adding generic pictures to. Our schedule is also on our big teaching board in our classroom. I think this year I will be adding pictures of the actual kids in the classroom. I think it also could be beneficial to have the schedule posted in a few places in the classroom for them to access!
