The history and philosophy behind Vows/Covenants made with God and the difference between “testing” God vs. establishing a Covenant/vow
What is the difference between a Vow/ Covenant made with god vs. the concept of “testing” god? At what point are you no longer making a vow and beginning to test gods power?

@John Risner nah not at all a problem for me so that’s not an issue. Yeah I agree I’ll just move on. Idk I guess I’m seeing more of an importance in convenants than there should be? Like I guess my next question is, if I wanted to make a vow to God, how do I know I’m making it to him? Like in this case I thought I was but then they were saying I was being tricked by some other thing. But I know the difference between a thought that is egging me on to do something that is bad vs when something is good. So I don’t think I was making any agreements with anything negative, otherwise I would have kept all the money or done something negative with said money no?

Genealogical curses
Here’s an interesting question. If god is punishing man, for what Adam did, and the idea of the son being punished for the fathers sin being a fair concept in Gods eyes… Since the punishment goes to the Son the Son might say “hey that’s not fair I would have been different than my dad and not sin like he did” yet God essentially is saying “no you would still do the same thing” That implies that me as the son, has a shared consciousness with my father, and for that matter with Adam. Like if Adam’s consciousness chose to sin, and we as humans are still being punished for Adam’s consciousness. Doesn’t that kind of say that I have a shared consciousness to him? Hopefully my question makes some sense lol

@Arturo Figueroa yeah I understand. When you look at a tree for example it’s super easy to see the infiniteness (godlyness) of it. Like the beauty of how complicated the creation is

Daily devotion
Trying to figure out something I can do daily like say 15-30 mins a day, that’s like something I can do to give thanks to god. Obviously I could just sit there and pray or listen for god etc etc. but I’m curious what yall like to do? I’m thinking reading the Bible daily is a good start but that to me is more personal study than giving thanks. So yeah what do yall think?

@John Risner yeah I saw you’ve been doing that but I still have a good three months or so before i finish my first read through. I’d like to get through it one time front to back first. And the other idea is like if I don’t have a bible but want to still show gratitude. I guess just sitting in a room thinking about god would work but yeah didn’t know if yall have something more refined. I will for sure check that out tho John!
