Implementing Feedback: My Channel Transformation
As promised, here is what 2 channel reviews taught me about my channel and the changes I've just made. Our channels are living breathing things and constantly evolving so these changes aren't perfect but they are progress in the direction I want to go. One review was at VidSummit: a 20 minute free consultation by a member of the 1of10.com team. They also have a YT channel @ 1of10pod. The other review was by Claire Sara when she was offering free reviews to some of her newsletter subbies. Her channel is @ ClaireSara and she makes really cool vids. Do relatable updates on anything for YouTubers Over 40 that I have found helpful because others will find this info helpful too I own some tech so make easy to follow videos how to set it up and use it (the kind of video I love) Reinstate 'Home' page tab that is first on our tabs when we go to a channel - can use this to put the most recent video in there or an intro video Can put posts in the Home page! Look into this Don’t be afraid to repeat things I have made in a different way Don’t be afraid to make videos about things like updates - it doesn’t matter that Kevin Kolbe made a video about YouTube updates or whatever. If there are 5 YouTube updates I am excited about and will use, I can make a video about that (and then use them) PROBLEM: It is unclear what my channel is about, is it a vlogging channel is it about YouTube growth? ACTION TAKEN: Unlisted all 10 of my non-niche videos (personal vlogs, Deadpool, eggs for breakfast…
