Make your Upline Earn Their Overrides
A good upline will train and support you in the beginning of your career until you become successful. A bad upline will just tell you to recruit your friends and family to the agency and make you sell to them as well. You need to have a long-term game plan to sell in order to succeed in this business. Learning how to market on social media or learning how to sell from calling leads are the only two practical long-term ways in which an agent will be successful in insurance.

My recruiter took me to a trade show today. I started learning network skills, prospecting and selling the products.
Please Welcome David Denning To The Community!!!
Everyone — I want to take a second to welcome @David Denning to the community 🔥 David is one of the co-founders of Jump Start Go, and what they’ve built is honestly one of the more refreshing approaches in this industry right now. Their entire focus is on helping agents generate organic business — not buying leads, not spamming friends and family, and not relying on hype. They teach agents how to: - Build a personal brand on social media - Create content that actually attracts inbound leads - Build referral partners that send inbound clients to you - And ultimately build a business that’s predictable and scalable without burning out What I respect most is that their model pushes agents to develop real skills — marketing, communication, and relationship-building — instead of just throwing money at leads and hoping something sticks. If you’re someone in here who wants to: - Stop depending on lead vendors - Learn how to bring in your own opportunities - And build something long-term that you actually control You’re going to get a lot of value from having David in here. Make sure you give him a warm welcome 🤝

Hi Dave I’m in S.CA. The Los Angeles metropolitan area. I’m glad to be part of this community and can’t wait to learn from everyone. For fun I like to take walks at local parks and enjoy nature. I really need to use the camera on my phone more. Lol

@Dave Fischer it’s crowded and expensive though. Lol. I was in L.A. last weekend as a matter of fact. We only go there for medical. I have fallen ill in the past and got sent to the too experts in LA and last weekend it was my sister. She’s doing a lot better now. 😊. That’s why I’ve been quiet for a week. Busy with family.
Introduction
Hi, I am currently studying for my Life/Medical license. I had it about 10 years ago but never made progress in the field. I found a different company and decided to give it another shot. I’m networking and getting to know like minded people. Thanks for letting me join the group!

What the Future Holds
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be adding new classroom modules designed to give everyone here more clarity and confidence about what to look for in a great insurance agency and how the rules of the industry really work. My goal is to help simplify the process so you can navigate this business with more ease and make informed decisions. I’ll also be building these modules with your needs in mind, focusing on the questions people are asking and the areas where you want the most guidance. There are some truly great agencies out there, and understanding the differences will help you position yourself for long-term success. Stay tuned more training and resources are coming soon to help make your journey in this business as smooth and empowering as possible.

Thank you. I tried this business 10 years ago with no luck but the internet wasn’t on fire back then like it is now. I’ve been doing a lot of networking on SM and joined groups like this where other professionals are willing to give tips and advice. Thank you!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
