Walking the Camino to Santiago
Hi everyone. Recently I have had numerous people ask me about the Santiago de Compostella in Spain, what my thoughts were about it, and would I recommend it as a travel experience. Absolutely. The camino, any camino is a phenomenal personal experience. I have walked two caminos, the Frances in 2014 and the Portuguese from Porto in 2024 and will walk the Le Puy in France in September 2025. Following my Portuguese camino I posted an article on facebook called " The Portuguese Camino - Why walk it? " adding supporting images. Here is that link. https://www.facebook.com/andrew.wright.79656921/posts/pfbid02LqeexiqnEtifPVyLbHpn1nYAZPkvh5iMveZfZeHj1oxo8BHDYg1GqF6uZvKBc6Qyl In this second link I have created a reel that gives you a feel for what its like walking these beautiful journeys. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1007758854309473 Enjoy.

Camino de Santiago dreams.
Hello all 😊 I am seriously considering walking the Frances next year possibly in May . I would love some advice . My friends are joining a tour which will be walking the last section . However my heart lies with walking the full stretch independently . I would really value your input . Thankyou in advance . Lyndal .

@Sheryl Cox Weber Thankyou soooo much Sheryl for sharing your thoughts with me . Greatly appreciate you taking the time 🙏 Immersing myself in nature is a big part of who I am … about time I did this for an extended period on a long walk ! I will probably pose some questions to you as I move along in my planning . Have a lovely day 🌻
South Island of New Zealand
Hi everyone. In October of this year I'm exploring the south island of New Zealand. I have never travelled in the South Island. Has anyone explored the south island, and if so could you help me with some interesting locations? Im also very keen on treking so am interested to hear from anyone who has walked the Milford Track. 🙂

Hi Andy , I went to the South Island of New Zealand four years ago and loved it ! Milford sound is such a beautiful waterway ! In my experience whist there the land areas surrounding it were infested with tiny mozzies / sand flies making it very unpleasant to be on land at all . I think this is common but investigate more .. don’t take my word for it . I walked the hooker valley track at mt cook ( aoraki) and really really loved that . It was a short walk ( couple of hours ) .. left me wanting to camp there and walk more there another time . Lake tekapo is a must as is the other nearby lake ( can’t remember it’s name right now ) Queenstown and surrounds incredible scenery .. we went white water rafting there ! Very expensive in Queenstown though being Adventure Capital . Loved Dunedin and the Otago penninsula . Lots to love about your he sth island of New Zealand . I’ll come and chat with you all about it one day soon my friend 😊
