Hebrews 12:1-2āļøšļø
āTherefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of Godās absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].ā āāHebrews⬠ā12ā¬:ā1ā¬-ā2⬠It is true that we have angels as well as people around us watching us. Theyāre watching our faith and endurance. Theyāre watching to see if we will finish the race weāve begun in Jesus. Because we are called to high standards, this can feel like a lot of pressure! But I assure you, God has already given you victory in this race. We must do an autopsy of anything that is preventing us from living these standards and continuing the race set before us. See, choices arenāt always about right or wrong, itās about what will hold us back and what wonāt. When faced with hard choices, we must keep our eyes on JESUS! He is the āpioneer and perfecterā. He endured the cross, endured our shame, and is seated at the right hand of God. The same promise of victory is the same for you and me! So be patient, be unhurrying and undelaying. That doesnāt mean be lazy, but give every area your fullest and as you wait for victory, serve the Lord with all your heart. I promise your time is coming. I hope this helps some of youšš»š«¶š»
