Set your Goal for the week (17/2/25)
Set your musical goal for this week: Step 1: Comment your goal to achieve by next Monday - It must act as a promise to yourself to keep you accountable - It will build the habit of setting and achieving goals. We climb our mountains step by step - Keep it simple and choose one thing to improve on or start Step 2: DO. THE. WORK. - Do the action laid out in your goal - This is why your goal must be a set of actions that is under your control - If you're stuck ask for help (We're all learning together) Step 3: Claim your victory and repeat step 1 - If you achieved your goal share it in the WINS! We want to celebrate your progress! - Once you're done you can chill or proceed with Step 1 again. - For bonus points, share how you achieved your goal this week in the comments and what you learned - This is a group activity to help support one another in achieving our dreams, week-by-week, goal-by-goal, action-by-action Let's get practicing!

My goal is gonna be to set the exact arrangement and Netflix that I want on this open E major tuning song I'm writing.
Practicing alternate tunings and time signatures at the same time
Probably not the best way to table both of these topics but I think for this song it's best to just dive in. It's pretty difficult and has a lot of changes but it's learnable I think. A map a string a light by Yvette Young. https://youtube.com/shorts/DZlNeEakvUo?si=-vffbP-Qmcuc7vpF

The blues scale is great fun, also the way he is using those chord inversions to move around the neck. Using the loop pedals to add some flavor and I'm half to see some battles love on here. As I always say when someone rips like that, Dope af. Guitar sure is a fun "toy" isn't it?

Is that a parlor? What is that guitar? I always loved playing baby Taylor's. It surgeries me how big they sound. I usually am more of a dreadnaught guy. I need surprised by the sound of some OO and OOO
Weekly Challenge: Improvisation
Testing out a new challenge for y'all, I've recorded a tutorial on improvising a John Mayer song called Vultures. I explain my process and have a bunch of jam tracks within the video you can solo with me. Give this a try and let me know if it helped your soloing. Post in the comments your solos throughout the week :)

I'm quite skilled at guitar and have an extensive knowledge of theory. I'm here to see how I stack up and hopefully improve on my teaching curriculum
