I'd love to hear about your experience during this time of transition in nature: 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣? It might be something in the natural world, something about yourself, or a feeling you just can't quite name yet. The video below is not Oscar-worthy, but the goldfinches collecting their harvest of seeds from my coneflowers is definitely a sight I look forward to each year. I enjoyed watching this female perched on the coneflower stem and enjoying her feast for quite some time. They are shy, so I dare not move to exit my porch! (Note: The video does take a moment to load.) P.S. The question above was shared in an email to my list this morning. If you do not receive my emails, I hope you will consider joining the list. If you visit the link here , you will also receive a small nature photo and quote creation from me. :D

What an adorable bird 😊We only really get blackbirds, robins, wrens & Pigeons here, so a goldfinch looks quite exotic to me! The only thing I'm noticing in my garden at the moment is the fact that everything is drying out thanks to the continual heatwave 😱
📖 What are you reading?
In addition to getting outside and noticing what I see, I love reading the thoughts and observations of life from others. And sometimes, I enjoy falling into a fictional world for an hour or two . . . Or a whole lot longer. I know there are other readers out there who love their time spent with a good book. No matter the genre or topic, I’d love to have a place to share what we are reading and the worlds we are falling into. I hope you will post and share your reading adventures in the comments here. Depending on how busy this spot becomes, I will build a regular spot to share accordingly!

I'm currently reading The Fox by Frederick Forsyth, it's a spy novel with an 18 year old computer whiz kid who hacks the National Security Agency - "just because" & is able to bring a Russian Submarine to a halt - there is a lot more to it than that. It's not my usual thing but it was gifted. I'm just over halfway through & enjoying it more than I expected to.
🌱Mindful Mondays: Lessons from Summer
Though summer is still very much with us in nature, for many, this time of year begins the transition into more routine days and growing demands on our time. With this in mind, what is a summertime feeling or lesson you would like to intentionally carry with you in the weeks to come?

@Amanda Renee Life really sucks sometimes but well done for continuing to "put one foot in front of the other."

I would love to carry some calm through the rest of this year but as we have just put our house up for sale I feel I may be disappointed on that 😬

Happy Wednesday! I've been meaning for awhile to make a video and share some information with you about Skool, the "Leaderboard," "Levels," and this community. Instead of waiting any longer, I am just going to write! Note: This is a bit long, but it identifies a lot about what this community is about. If you just have a moment to read, please check out number 2 below to learn about posting in this group. 💖 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅 "Eww." This was my first thought when I realized our space would have something prominently displayed at the top that is absolutely *not* in keeping with what this community is about. Unfortunately, it comes with the current setup of a Skool group, and I cannot disable or rename it. However, I have renamed the levels to hopefully better match the philosophy and welcoming space you find here. 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒔 (If you're skimming, please be sure to read #2. 🙂) This is actually one aspect of the Skool system I don't mind as much as I thought I might. To move up a level, you simply need to comment on a post or create a post yourself and earn "likes" from group members. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀: 1. I know there's a stigma around vanity metrics, and that's certainly not the mission here. But for better or worse, when a person posts or comments, it's nice to know someone is "out there" and that they have been seen. ☺️It is also a nice gesture for those who are adding to the value of our community by keeping the conversation going. (It's OK to lurk, but if no one is talking or engaging, there is nothing to read, to admire, or to make us think. I truly hope all will feel welcome to chime in every so often, but if you don't, you can also enrich our community by letting us know the content you enjoy seeing or reading by leaving a simple reaction.) 2. 𝐀𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟐, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩.𝐀𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐲, 𝐈 *𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞* 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬. I truly appreciate a range of voices, and our group will be much more engaging if I am not the only one posting. [ I have locked this permission behind a level to discourage those who would try to join and spam us or be negative. This is the same reason I have questions for you to complete before joining, as well as why I have locked being able to message a fellow group member behind Level 3. ] 3. I have plans in the future to add some fun incentives and light free resources behind levels as a way to encourage occasional commenting and posting. I hope to have the first up by the end of the month at the latest, and I hope you will enjoy the new feature. 🥰

@Amanda Renee Like you I find it so much easier & quicker to type than shoot a video - I'm a gen X & it shows 🤣 To shoot a video, I feel the need to "perform" in some way, to be perfectly poised & coiffed (Is that even the right word) & that is just not me, it's still major heatwave teritory here in the UK 🥵 & I refuse to wear anything other than shorts & T-shirts - the world doesn't need to see that 🤣

How are things in your corner of the world today? I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to respond with a single word, a sentence, a photo, or even a particularly apt emoji if you’d like! Longer answers are welcome as well. 😊

I'm a week late to this thread but have only just seen it 🙈 Things have been a little more stressful than usual as we have finally made the decision to move from our 3 bed house to a 2 bed bungalow 😬 so there has been lots to organise - though we have to actually sell before we can move 🤣 I also had 12 steroid injections in my spine on Friday so have been recovering from that over the weekend, work has had to wait as has pretty much everything 🤷‍♀️ I love the photos that have been added here - very peace inducing 😊
