As requested I went with a standing Giraffe! Its a little more challenging, but lots to learn and I'm sure this will open up a new skill to make other fun standing toppers. You can view and make the 'Giraffe' PDF & tutorial here: https://www.skool.com/cakecraftclub/classroom/7dab47d7?md=db9c07a891b34ae58441c8e0a9a95b19

Hi Everyone. I'm Karen
I'm really excited to join you all! I am a hobby baker and cake decorator, mainly doing cakes for friends and family. I am hoping this platform will take me out of my comfort zone and stretch my creative abilities. The projects look great and the tutorials are wonderfully explained. I can't wait to get involved.

Welcome Karen, you are in the right place. You will have fun and learn a huge amount. Yes it will take you out of your comfort zone but that is the only way to learn. You have Christina who is fantastic and the rest of us are here for help or encouragement. The peony has just taken me out of my comfort zone. ENJOY your journey.
Man wearing snorkel and mask
Hello, I’m new to the cake craft club. I’ve been asked to make a beach themed retirement cake with a model of the person retiring wearing a snorkel and mask. Could I ask how you would make a snorkel and mask?

That is a question for Christina as I am not good enough to answer that one. Jacqui may know too.
Heatwave
There was a question in a different group about putting fondant covered cakes in the fridge Do you Don't you Well I had to in the heatwave Its ok as long as you put the cake in a box with the lid on and don't take the lid off until the cake comes back to room temperature It will go sticky otherwise. Thank you Sue for the answer and I did as you said and it worked. Only thing is the buttercream then goes very soft in the heat but my cake survived. Panicked when I put it in a hot car😱. Luckily it was only 7 minutes down the road.
