Discipline vs. Motivation / Which one drives you more right now?
Motivation is always great, but it disappears quickly. You watch a video, read something inspiring, and feel very good about doing something. But the next morning? You’re tired, it’s cold, and suddenly that motivation is gone. That’s why I rely on discipline. I don’t always feel like doing the things I have to do. But I do them anyway. Because I made a promise to myself. That’s the difference. Discipline is what shows up when motivation doesn’t. And the more you practice it, the more natural it becomes. So that makes me ask you: What is driving you at this moment? Are you still relying on motivation or you achieved a high level of discipline?

@Sandra Smith I don't think I am looking for that right now. But I appreciate you asking. How is your journey going with music?

@Lee Simmons That is so nice to read this. I love the discipline is what actually gives you the motivation
Morning routine
What’s the one non-negotiable part of your morning routine? That one habit you have to do, or your whole day is just not the same? For me, it’s exercising. Whether it’s a gym session or a run, I need to get my body moving early. It wakes me up, clears my mind, and sets the tone for the rest of the day. If I skip it, I feel slower, less focused, and not fully on. I love the hit of good dopamine, serotonin and endorphin after I leave the gym. What about you? What’s that one thing you have to do in the morning, no matter what?

@Magdalena Wojciul That is so cool. How long does this breathing technique take? Do you do anything else after that to boost your morning?

@Magdalena Wojciul I think I have heard about it, I think I just knew it by a different name 🤣 Workouts in the morning are soo good. I just love it so much. It completely change the way my day goes, definitely recommend it.
Be disciplined. Your future self will thank you for it
The pain of discipline is temporary. The pain of regret lasts way longer. Every time you skip a habit, delay a goal, or break a promise to yourself, ask yourself: Am I choosing comfort now at the cost of regret later? Discipline isn't punishment. It's a gift to your future self. What’s one area you’ve been avoiding where discipline needs to be there?

@Tony Adams I always tell people that discipline is one of the most powerful tools you can ever have. I love it, I am also a person who is always trying to learn new things. We need to keep our brain working, that is why learning is very powerful. What are you leaning at the moment?
Meaning of Success
What does success really mean to you? Is it wealth, personal fulfillment, or something else entirely? How has your definition of success changed over the years, and what factors shape it?

For me, success is living with purpose, and having the discipline to follow through on it every day. It’s not just about money or status. It’s about waking up with clarity, knowing I’m building something meaningful, and staying consistent even when motivation isn’t there. Over the years, I realized that true success isn’t a destination, it’s who you become in the process. And discipline is what turns purpose into progress. That’s what I chase daily.

@Williams Bailey discipline is the foundation of life. We cannot reach our goals without having discipline
Here’s how I got into discipline (and what I learned)
I used to be the “I’ll start tomorrow” type. Snoozed the alarm, skipped workouts, stayed on my phone way too long. What changed everything was realizing that motivation wasn’t coming to save me. So I built structure instead, same wake-up time, gym in the morning, clear goals. It was hard at first, but day by day, it got easier. What I learned? Discipline isn’t about feeling ready. It’s about doing it anyway, especially when you don’t feel like it. And once you prove to yourself that you can show up when it's hard, your confidence starts to grow fast. What helped you become more disciplined?

@Jonathan Lightfoot yess very true. You cannot let procrastination over take you. Once it happens in one moment, it can easily happen on others
