Yo! I held my first HighLevel affiliate event at Soho House in Brighton last night and it was so much fun. The weather showed up too! In between pizza, beer and even a bottle of tequila to finish off the evening, there was some great connection and conversation. One slight concern that I had though, was that a few guys were telling me they were losing clients on the coffee date. I always scratch my head at this, because why would any client say no? We turn their old leads into sales with no risk or upfront cost to them. It’s the offer to end all offers. They should rarely say no. If they say no it’s usually for two reasons: 1. Data concerns (I have some advice on this here btw) - https://www.skool.com/ai-automation-agency/getting-pushback-about-data-compliance-this-might-help?p=4f2130fb 2. They have enough business and sales - perhaps a plastic surgeon or dentist where they are booked solid. HINT - they will have other problems AI can solve if you dig deeper! I dug deeper during the convo and discovered a big problem. One dude put a proposal together and charged $16,000 for the initial test. Another guy would not budge on his 50% profit share. As a result, they had the door slammed in their face. I think you might be able to understand why? They were too stubborn and greedy. (The funny thing is - they aren’t greedy guys) Sure, this type of money up front and profit share is totally possible… … but usually, not without serious case studies and experience. I don’t blame the client for slamming the door in their face. I was particularly sad for the $16k guy because that biz had 1500 employees and would have made him a boatload down the line if he hadn’t been so stubborn with his ‘test’ offer. Here is what I advised for next time… --------- “Dude, next time do whatever you can to get the ‘test’ over the line.” “If you need to do it for free and absorb the costs of a few sms’s, and 20 hours of work to get the deal over the line, then do that.”
