@Sarah Leamy, MFA yes, that is powerful and I can picture it in a movie.

It's the weather that catches my attention, a rain storm versus a drop on a window pane.
Synopsis Time!
Don’t forget. It will help you if you know your own book inside and out. So take the time and do it. Why not, eh?

Five Tips For Using Body Language
1. Use body language to add depth to dialogue - because notice what happens in conversations you have with friends versus strangers, people in charge versus applicants, and how what we do with our hands, eyes etc all has an impact. 2. Use it because more than 50% of human communication is non-verbal. We use gestures, movements, habits without thinking about it. So watch and take note. 3. Use it to show how your character’s reactions come from emotions. 4. Use it to help you show us your character's unique take on the world, don't 'tell' your reader everything. 5. Use it in moderation. If overused, it can slow your story down. If not used enough, we have talking heads.

Hello Chenzo. I think you'll find Sarah has some great insights worth listening to. Have fun!
This is my first novel, I usually write memoir.
I mostly just want to work one on one. I have those 500 pages and have been revising quite a bit, starting at the beginning and could send you a couple of chapters soon.

250,000 words comes out to a book over 1069 pages! That's some heavy lifting. I've been curious since Sarah posted this as a question the other day, and I found a great list of long books like yours but they top out at 500 ish. Fascinating topic! https://lithub.com/the-50-best-contemporary-novels-over-500-pages/

@Susana Guillaume Oh, I'm going to have to look him up. I like getting lost in epics.
