One thing property has taught me
You don't always need another deal, sometimes you need another perspective. The more I get involved in property, the more I realize how easy it is to get caught up in finding the next deal. But some of my biggest lessons haven't come from completing a deal. They've come from conversations with people who approach property completely differently from me. Someone sees a risk where another person sees an opportunity. Someone has tried a strategy you haven't considered. Someone asks a simple question that makes you rethink your whole approach. That's why I enjoy connecting with people at different stages of their journey. You don't have to be the most experienced person in the room to learn something valuable. I'm still learning myself, and I genuinely believe the right conversation can sometimes be worth more than another deal. What's something you've learned from another person that changed the way you approach property?

If property is your main wealth-building strategy, what happens if the market slows down for 2–3 years?
I've been thinking more about whether investors should focus only on growing their property portfolio, or whether having another income-producing business alongside it gives you more flexibility. Curious how others here think about it. Do you prefer going all-in on one strategy, or deliberately building a second income stream?
Sometimes stepping away for a little while is exactly what you need to come back with fresh energy.
I’ve been pretty busy lately and haven’t been as active here as I would have liked, but I’m back and looking forward to getting involved again. A lot has been happening behind the scenes with property, and it’s reminded me that growth doesn’t always happen where everyone can see it. I’ve missed the conversations, the different perspectives, and simply connecting with people who are on their own property journey. So I’m looking forward to being more active again, learning from everyone, sharing what I can, and most importantly, building some genuine connections along the way. Good to be back. Let’s see what this next chapter brings!

What if you're making more progress than you think?
I've come to realized that, not every week in property comes with a win. Some weeks you learn why another one wasn't right. Some weeks you make a valuable connection. And sometimes, you simply keep going when nothing seems to be moving. I think we sometimes underestimate how much progress happens in those quieter moments. I'm still learning, still meeting new people, and still finding that every conversation can teach me something I didn't know before. The deal will come. The experience will build. The right connections will happen. For me, the important part is staying in the game. 🤝 Here's to another week of learning, connecting and moving forward, whatever that looks like for each of us. Let me hear from you as well, don't just like this post and pass, let's make this group more lively.
