DAATA Method Level 1
After just mentioning this earlier, Nathalie has announced a 50% off discount on Level 1 using the code: DAATA1APRIL2026 You can redeem it via this link here: https://www.internationalgroomingsociety.org/webinars I’ve completed this course personally and found it incredibly useful 😊 This is the foundation course to canine and feline dermatology, and despite this, a lot of it is barely even covered in Grooming curriculum. Note: I do not receive any commission for this recommendation.

You will not regret this course. I really need to set some time aside and do it again myself as a refresher. This course turned my grooming method upside down and inside out! Getting to know Nathalie was one of the best mile stones in my grooming career. Enjoy! 💖🐾 xxx
Awareness Day Pupdate! 🎨
So we’ve been having fun chilling out at home today. We have watched some television on the couch, we have pottered about the garden planting seeds, we even set up some Freework activities around the house. But my favourite activity today has been dog art class using lickable treats 👅 Later i’ll be giving the two girls a bath and then letting them air dry with a chew since it’s sunny today ☀️ It’s admittedly been good to keep occupied since it’s a week today Nala passed away… I had SO many plans for her today, and it has been really hard coming to the realisation she isn’t coming back… Let me know who is joining me tonight to share what they’ve got up to? 👇 #dontwalkyourdogday

The day started with a routine check up at the vets for Sasha (my Labrador) then all 3 of them (Sasha, Sadie and Sid) spent a few hours chilling out in my salon as I worked. After work, they enjoyed a few games of find it in the garden with the weighted dummy. Sasha is the professional in this game, however Sadie did really well today. Sid on the other hand didn't have a clue and just joined in for the fun of it all 🤣 My curious cats Lolly and Lulu appeared at the beginning of the game. They soon decided that having three crazy dogs full of adrenaline racing around them, wasn't their cup of tea and watched the mayhem from a height 😾 Afterwards, Sasha had 10 mins of 'new buggy training' before packing up to go indoors to relax before having their dinners. They are all now very happy and content and are settled for the night in their chosen areas of the living room 🥰🐾 xxx
Pet Loss
Dearest community, please forgive my 'MIA' the last couple of days. My most precious girl, Nala, has been in end of life care for the last year, and passed away yesterday afternoon in the safety of her home, in the arms of the person who loved her the most in the world. I'm trying to navigate the loss of the very best 'dog teacher', a behaviour student could ever have asked for - she taught me so much about boundaries, about deep-rooted behaviours, about dog-on-dog conflict, about food resource guarding, and so much more. But most importantly of all, she taught me that even a dog with significant behaviour and physical impairments, can be supported. Can be beautiful. Can be loving. Can be the best comfort in times of stress. I am utterly devastated. I am broken. So, I ask that you all please bare with me as I may be a little less active in this space over the next few days. If there's anything really important remember you can reach out to @Clare Hudson Hill or @Vanessa Barber - our HGA tutors. I intend to be back on track for our next Live check in on Monday.

Live Check-In - Week 8 💖
@Matti Poland I've answered your queries regarding the courses and membership tiers - let me know if it makes sense as I don't mind going over it via Zoom. @Rachena Kumari wasn't sure if you were joining tonight to have a chat, but let me know if you still want to go over the accreditation options ☺️ Aside from this, I would like to say a massive thank you to you all for your lovely messages regarding the passing of my beloved, Nala - life is just not the same without her big fluffy presence and our hearts are aching, but I find peace in knowing that I made the right choice for her, and she was able to pass away with dignity ❤️‍🩹 We have quite a lot of events coming up in April - check out our calendar tab above to get them in your diaries! A combination of Q&A's and Webinars to look forward to. First up is the 'Dont Walk Your Dog Day' challenge this April 2nd - we invite you to join us in not walking our dogs, and instead, take part in other activities that our dogs may find fun! Join me from 7pm on April 2nd, to share what you got up to (link is in calendar and this is open to all members). Once again, just a reminder for those who transferred over from Thinkific, that your complimentary 2-month premium subscription will expire on April 1st - if you wish to remain an official HGA member, you must upgrade to our Premium Tier to continue getting access to our membership classroom. There's no obligation to remain a member, but if you choose not to reinstate, you must remove all HGA logos from your marketing and promotional material, and your listing from the HGA Directory. To find out more about our Premium tier ($9 per calendar month) click here. To find out more about our Behaviour Grooming Theory Only course click here

Hi @Stephanie Zikmann Sorry I couldn't make the check-in last night. To answer your question, I've actually only completed the DAATA level 1. I had all of my case study etc ready to submit to complete the level 2 however due to family matters, I regrettably didn't get round to it. Hopefully one day, I'll commit myself to doing it all again including the higher levels. It's an amazing course with so much invaluable information and Nathalie is such a lovely person, inside and out 😘 xxx
Puppy Intro Block Booking Sessions
Does anyone charge a set price for puppy Intro block bookings? I have a few potential pom puppies wanting to be part of my grooming pack. The sessions will start with a half hr meet and treat with 5 weekly sessions to follow, going at the individual pup's speed and confidence. My books have been closed to new clients for many years so I'm a little out of sink with pricing 🫣😬😘 xxx

@Claudia Allen great! Thank you. I've been doing meet and treats for many years however have always felt pressured by the pet parents to'just get it done' My books have been closed for many years as I have been concentrating on my regulars however I'm now preparing to open them again for a hand full of puppies. This little one belongs to a member of my family. She had her meet and treat this week and is booked in again this coming Wednesday for her 2nd session 💖🐾 xxx
