Before we blame the seeds, let’s talk about the three mistakes that quietly cause most seed-starting frustration. 🌱 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 #𝟏: 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩 This one gets almost everyone at least once. The general rule: Plant seeds at a depth about 2–3 times their size. Tiny seeds? They barely need covering. Some (like lettuce or many flowers) actually need light to germinate. Not soggy * Consistency beats soaking 💡 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 #𝟑: 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 Seeds germinate in warmth. Seedlings grow in light. If light is: * Too far away * Too dim * Too short in duration You’ll get tall, skinny, leaning seedlings. And it happens fast. Light should sit 2–3 inches above seedlings and stay on 12–16 hours per day. 🌿 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 Most seed failures aren’t mysterious.
