Lets all take a second to introduce ourselves and take a second to share what brought you here, if you own or help run any communities and what you look forward to.
Hi ya’ll! I’m Loni, on Oregonian transplant to the north Texas area. I’m in my 60’s, disabled and a retired dog trainer who now helps others train service dogs. I got into fiber work through my dogs. I used to show and train border collies for competitions and herding trials. Herding dogs need sheep to train on so I ended up having a small herd of an heritage breed from the bible called Jacob sheep. Sheep need shearing and I didn’t want to trash good fleece so I taught myself to process raw wool and spin. I then learned to knit but after finding crochet, I love it. I also have 3 sizes of the Addi circular knitting machines. I crochet daily for hours but have way too many wips! (Thanks to being ADHD) I also used to be a licensed nail tech and artwork was my favorite. I also have 2 grown kids. I enjoy crocheting shawls and ponchos. So far, my favorite crochet project has been a poncho that I designed. My first own creation. I also have done needle felting, tatting, weaving, Tunisian crochet and want to learn knooking and Nalbinding.
