I keep making the mistake of using only one skill—like a hammer—to build my whole life or business. I find that even when that one skill makes me money, I'm still not happy because I know I was made for something more. Now, I realize I need to see all my acquired skills as tools that can be blended to build a new "mega-skill" that aligns with my true purpose. I am choosing to focus on life coaching, helping people find their purpose much faster than it took me over a decade! I am building my new career by putting all my tools together. I just posted a YouTube video about how to get your first paying client. This was a huge milestone for me! I remember freaking out when I first had to deliver value after someone had just paid me. It was a massive shock to my nervous system! Your first client will probably transform you more than going from 1 to 20 clients. And I don't know about you, but I find it much easier to have this goal. It seems manageable. Just one. It can change everything, I promise! Some of the things it did for me was: changing my perception of work, my vision of money. I realised that I could get paid for things I already had/was. That I didn't have to work hard or do things I hate in order to get paid. And that if I could make one dollar online, why not a hundred, why not a thousand, why not ten thousand? Alright, aligned creators, This community grew to 57 members in just over a month, and I'd be curious to know a bit more about what you guys do and who you help. One of the biggest mistakes I made when trying to monetize from my skills online was not to know exactly who I was targeting. Once I figured that out, I was able to get my first paying clients in the musicians' niche at first.
