Quick Question 🤔
I'm thinking of running an episode of Take the Stage and not stream it live. What are your thoughts?

@Americo Da Costa would it make a difference if you just offer the replay?

@Americo Da Costa I got that. You are talented at what you do. I can't imagine this not being a nice change up for you. Give it a go. If it doesn't work, give it a been there done that and move on.
🎙️ New Module Alert: Audio Engineering
I took a 4:08 audio clip from yesterday's live conversation sped it up to x 1.1 and engineered it down from 3:45 to 3:22—without losing the message. Check out the new module, then listen to the before and after audio files I've attached. The question is: What do you notice? Sometimes the biggest improvements come from what you remove. 🎧👇

I noticed the first clip removed additional comments, it sounded clearer but I can't tell why. I'm not sure if you removed or dubbed the same word that did not come out clear. If that makes sense. Great information too. I agree with the AI checkers. They are not accurate 100% of the time.

@Americo Da Costa thank you for helping me learn. 😊
My First UGC Lesson: Seeing What's Possible
I wanted to share a little shout-out and thank you to Americo. Yesterday was "Funnel Frenzy Friday," where we could post anything we wanted. I've been wanting to create UGC videos but didn't know how to start and I mentioned that in my comment. With a little encouragement from Americo, I just did it. After watching them, I quickly realized, I have a lot to learn. 😄 Americo suggested I send the videos to him in a DM. He blew my mind when he took those two amateur clips, edited them together, added fun graphics, improved the flow, and transformed them into something I never would have thought was possible. I was impressed on two levels. First, that he was generous enough to take the time to help me. Second, I had no idea that much could be done with the footage I had already recorded. It completely changed how I look at creating content. If I want to pursue UGC, these are exactly the kinds of skills I need to learn. Seeing what was possible was incredibly motivating. Thank you, Americo, for your generosity, your patience, and for sharing your talent. I truly appreciate you taking the time to help me. I'd love to learn how you pulled that off. If you ever decide to teach it, I'd definitely be interested. 😁 Enjoy my first attempt at a UGC video, brought to life by Americo's editing skills.

@Americo Da Costa I would do a follow along if it worked with my schedule. Definitely open to a course I could keep going back to.

@Americo Da Costa I will be doing another video to show the sheets today. See, I'm growing up... a little.

@Americo Da Costa I actually was trying to attach what I did, but it won’t let me upload it for some reason. I’m not sure why. Do you?

@Americo Da Costa Ok sent 😁
A technical glitch may have revealed an opportunity...
Sometimes the best ideas don't come from strategy, they come from mistakes. During my most recent LinkedIn Live episode, we experienced a small technical glitch. The music started as planned, but our usual static thumbnail didn't appear on screen. At the time, it was just one of those live-event moments you adapt to and move past. But when I went back to review the replay, something caught my attention. To clean up the video, I edited out the blank opening screen and queued the replay to begin almost immediately as the show started and that's when I had a realization. As livestream hosts, many of us optimize for the live audience. We create branded waiting rooms, countdowns, intro music, and opening sequences to build anticipation. But replay viewers aren't attending a live event. They're clicking on a piece of content because they're looking for value. The more I thought about it, the more I wondered: How many replay viewers are deciding whether to stay or leave before the conversation even begins? That question has led me to an experiment. Over the next several weeks, I'll be editing my LinkedIn Live replays to eliminate the pre-show experience and start viewers right at the beginning of the conversation. The goal isn't to change the content. The goal is to reduce friction. If someone clicks on a replay, I want to see if getting them to the value faster increases: Viewer retention Watch time Engagement Replay performance overall My hypothesis is simple: A replay should be optimized for the replay audience, not the live audience. What's interesting is that this idea didn't come from a marketing article or a best-practices guide. It came from a technical issue that forced me to look at the viewer experience differently. Funny how that works sometimes. Now I'm curious: If you're watching a replay, do you want the full event experience, or do you prefer getting straight to the conversation?

I’m someone that fast forward through all the fluff. Usually when I’m looking for something, it’s because I’m trying to fill a specific time gap, so I don’t need all the other stuff. That helps me get what I need while still enjoying it.
