Help
I am finishing building an app but I am stuck on the back end. Do I have to create a new business entity for each software or how are y'all doing this for stripe to collect payments? Also, are you adding your personal number? @Jonathan Montoya, I think this is great really but having a guide on how to do these back end stuff would be extremely helpful! Do you have anything already made about this?

@Bryan Mills stripe made a sandbox account and it was asking for ein and business info so I didn’t know how or what to do.

I do have one registered should I use it for stripe. Not sure what paddle is?
Hosting on sub domain or main domain
Each time I create a new product, I have been purchasing a new domain for each of them and I am wondering if it makes any difference to use a subdomain as opposed to using a main domain each time? Is there any advantage to using a main domain for each product?

This is a good question!
Second App
Hey everyone, I will be posting my second app today and would love for everyone here to test it out whenever you can. I’m very excited about it and it’s kind of tied to my background which is Tech. It’s something that came to me one day when I was sitting down thinking about my next idea. I checked the market for it and it’s really no market for SMB’s, Medium Sized businesses, or even people that’s running everything solo.

Congrats! I would love to help test it.
Copyright & Trademark
As I stated in a previous post, I'm going to copyright and trademark my work. I put so many hours into my project and didn't want anyone to steal it. However, I learned a few things and wanted to share with the group. Copyright protects your content, like text, graphics, and the way you present things. It does not protect the underlying idea or concept of your product. Trademark protects your name and logo, so someone can’t use “Product Name” or a confusingly similar brand. But it does not prevent someone from building a similar website or service under a different name. In short: there is no legal tool in the U.S. that stops someone from copying your idea itself. Ideas are free — what’s protected is the expression of that idea (the content, branding, and original graphics). The safest ways to protect your concept are: Move fast and build your audience — first-mover advantage makes it hard for copycats to compete. Keep proprietary methods secret (trade secrets) — e.g., your curated database methods, scraping process, or API integrations. Use copyright/trademark for the content, brand, and visuals — so your work itself is protected. You can think of it like this: anyone can have an idea, but only you can legally own your product’s content, logo, and brand. Costs for copyright ranges $45-$65. https://www.copyright.gov/eco/ Costs for trademark ranges $350+. https://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/apply

Thanks for this!
Epiphany
Woke up this morning with an idea that actually made me leap out of bed. Not one of those “meh, I’ll think about it later” ideas. Nope. This one hits where I live—35+ years in the live entertainment world, where glamour is a lie and soul-sucking chaos is real. I pitched it to a few friends. One said, “That’s f***ing genius!” One person. That’s all I needed. Ego = satisfied. Fast forward nine hours at my desk. I’ve been building, planning, cackling at my own brilliance… and only used 20 Lovable credits. Now I’m down to verifying 170 website links before I upload the database. Because yes, I’m obsessive. ChatGPT searched for competitors. None exist. Zilch. Nada. So yeah—I’m about to copyright and trademark this thing. It’s free… for now. Premium features coming later: monthly, lifetime, affiliate links, venue sponsors, ads—basically ways to make money without making anyone hate me. I’m excited. For two years, I’ve been trying to invent something tied to my job, thinking either nothing existed or the billion-dollar companies were already on it. Spoiler: they weren’t. I’ll post again when it’s live. And yes—I’ll probably gloat a little.
