YouTube in 2026 has a dirty secret.
Views are easier to get than ever. Calls are harder. That gap isn't an algorithm problem. It's a trust problem - and most coaches and consultants are solving the wrong one. Nielsen confirmed it late last year: YouTube is now the #1 media distributor in the US. Ahead of Netflix. Ahead of broadcast TV. Over 45% of watch time is happening on living room screens, your ideal client, leaning back after work, deciding who the authority is in their space. They're not scrolling. They're evaluating. Which means the question has changed. It's no longer "how do I get more views?" It's "how do I become the obvious choice for someone who's already decided to hire?" Here's what's working inside The Authority Engine right now: One video per week. CAT Moments only. Not trending topics. Not "value content." The exact question your ideal client types when they're frustrated enough to look for help. That's the search intent that arrives pre-sold. Challenges - the daily friction that's costing them clients, time, or confidence right now. When you film a Challenge video, you become the person who finally articulates what they've been living with but couldn't explain. Aspirations - the business they want to be running but haven't given themselves permission to describe yet. When you film an Aspiration video, you close the gap between where they are and where they're going. Transformations - the before-and-after proof that the system works. Case studies, real numbers, client outcomes. When you film a Transformation video, you remove the risk. Objections disappear before the discovery call even starts. Most coaches and consultants are making the wrong type of YouTube video.
Not because they're lazy. Because nobody told them there's a difference between content that gets views and content that gets clients. So helpful!!! Thank you! I'm curious about your recommendation to only post 1x per week... is that so that it's easier to stay consistent? If you can stay consistent with more than one video per week, is there a downside to posting that often?

@Des Dreckett Is there a specific length of video that tends to perform better than others? I'm continuing my daily Quiet Times and adding on videos that better fit what you're talking about here - my plan is to continue with faceless videos for the bulk of the videos and possibly one talking head video per week/month... still thinking about this :)
