How's everyone doing?
It's soooo hot in Poland now. I'm at home chilling ๐Ÿ˜ and watching...

Thank you for this new interesting rabbit hole to explore @Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez ๐Ÿ˜œ Very interesting infoโ€ฆ and confirmed some things I already suspected from my own experience of both, amassing a large digital library, and lots of physical books purchased and read before e-books and audiobooks were even a thing. And honestly the switch to using digital books more readily these days than paper came down to the financial economics, and the convenience factor. (Plus I love being able to highlight and create notes that are easily searchable!) However I often miss the visceral experience of holding and reading booksโ€ฆ And it was interesting to find out some of the brain related reasons why that is. Overall I have found myself less excited about reading than I used to beโ€ฆ Which I had been chalking up to simply being older and having been turned into a bit of a pessimistic solemn Solomonโ€ฆ (thereโ€™s nothing new under the sun ๐Ÿ˜œ) Now Iโ€™m wondering how much of that may actually be tied to my transition to so many ebooks and digital media over the last decade instead of just getting old ๐Ÿ˜ (and digital notes instead of constant written ones??) So as @ร–mรผr YanฤฑkoฤŸlu mentioned, I will be reevaluating how much I have gained vs lost in the trade off between the economics and convenience of digitalโ€ฆ versus, the cognitive and embodiment advantages of paper and writing. I can see my new hyper focus will probably be mining the depths of how to gain the benefits of using both physical and digital in a Symphony of brain and body to reach information nirvanaโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜‚ clearly I am in a rather poetic state of mind this morning! ๐Ÿ˜†

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez said, โ€œBut I will stop buying them since I already have a long list of ones I haven't read...โ€ Sooo, this is a reason to stop buying them aye? ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I think I may be operating under the impression that just the act of buying them allows them to become part of my conscious experienceโ€ฆ you know, the same way simply buying the exercise videos helps keep you in shapeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜œ
Premium
Okay, @Faith Adebayo inspired me again. This is a post for premium tier members. I'll be sending notifications here. If you're on the premium tier or just curious about what this is all about, please click the ๐Ÿ”” icon in the top right of this post. This is a workaround, so that I can communicate with the members on the premium plan without spamming the members on the free plan ๐Ÿ™ Because personally I don't like when someone talks about something, sends me a link and then it turns out it's behind a paywall. With the tools I have available, I'll try to minimize those kinds of situations.

Iโ€™m so sad I almost always have to miss this because of work (unless an official holiday lands on a Tuesday!) I have loved the few times Iโ€™ve been able to be present!
๐Ÿ”ฅ Skooly extension for leveling up your Skool game
I'll do a video about this soon, but for now here's a text version preview. Check it out here! (referral link) Depending on the tier, this browser extension tool gives your Skool additional features/super powers. It allows you to: Standard - Send voice notes, video notes, and screen recordings - Bookmark Skool posts - Create and share GIFs anywhere on Skool - Add formatted text to Skool posts and comments - Create unlimited short links Premium - Create one testimonial page - DM autoresponder on posts - Community health & engagement insights dashboard - Member course progress reports - Bulk member tagging in posts/comments - Bring your own domains for short links & testimonials VIP - Priority support and feature requests - Choose your own background images for voice notes - Access to all new features - Link rotation feature - Skooly AI Community Copilot - Unlimited testimonials pages I'll be probably using this mostly for the voice/video notes and the course progress. You can currently get the voice notes for as little as $5. Here's how the voice not thing works. You get a little mic icon in the DMs, comments etc. and when you click it you have a couple options:

Iโ€™ve been on the standard tier in Skooly, and loving the bookmark features and lots of other useful stuff even in that tier! Great for making the Skool experience better even if you donโ€™t have a group, and youโ€™re just an active member in groups!
How's your weekend?
It's still not winter here, but the morning brought us a nice surprise...

So if there is snow, and you are still saying winterโ€™s not hereโ€ฆ you may be in just a bit of denial ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜‚

We're not getting tiered categories for now...
Which sucks because I'd like to not spam free members with premium gated content. So I'll try to send as little premium notifications as possible. After the Skool news call I'll be doing a live call for the premium tier, just to talk shop. But like I said, I won't be creating a post every time. I'll also do a why I love tiers and why I hate tiers video to try to lobby them adding the tiered category functionality. @Faith Adebayo thank you for the tip!

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez but in the case of the hobby plan I bet they had ALOT of โ€œon the fence folksโ€ finally jump in because it was no longer $100 to get started. And as you grow I think the tools in the more expensive group price would make it worth it.

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez true. At this point, when I start something Iโ€™d be choosing between Skool and another platform that does already allow for separate level conversations within one membership (though the other isnโ€™t nearly as aesthetically pleasing as skool is!) so this option being added would make the decision much easier for me!
